Ash-Rand Rescue Squad & EMS, Inc. proudly protects 140,000 people living in an area of 802 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect city, urban and rural areas. Our department is a private non-profit department whose members are primarily volunteer.
Chartered on Sept. 12, 1962. Our organization is divided into four areas of service. Heavy Rescue, EMS, Search & Rescue Team, & Water/Dive Rescue Team. Our Rescue Division is North Carolina certified at the Heavy Rescue level and has 12 additional speciality rescue certifications. Ash-Rand Rescue has been designated as a Type IV North Carolina USAR resource and has been awarded the status of NC TASK FORCE 7 by the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management. Our EMS Division operates at the EMT-Intermediate level. Our Search & Rescue Team has 9 personnel certified at the SARTECH I level and 12 personnel certified at the SARTECH II level. Our Water/Dive Rescue Team has 9 personnel certified as Dive Rescue I Specialists and 3 personnel certified as Dive Rescue II Specialists. Ash-Rand Rescue Squad & EMS, Inc. has been a Randolph County United Way agency since 1965. United Way support allows our organization to provide lifesaving rescue services to the citizens of Randolph County. Your donation to the United Way helps to support the efforts of many agencies in Randolph County. |
